Allow me to indulge in this wonderful trip and take up maybe a few minutes of your time...
My journey is as follows : Singapore --> Vancouver --> Ketchikan --> Hubbard Glacier --> Juneau --> Icy Strait Point --> Columbia Icefield --> Banff --> Vancouver --> Singapore
To start off, it was really a gruelling 16 hours (approximately) plane ride to Vancouver from Singapore. We had to stop at Korea International airport for an hour for transfer. Fortunately, SIA's Krisflyer entertainment system and Uncle Wang made it more bearable.
We dropped off at Vancouver and were immediately taken to Empire Landmark Hotel which was situated along Robson Street - Vancouver's Orchard Road. (I forgot to mention I was travelling with my cousin, uncle and aunt)They had many fashion boutiques including Guess, Armani, Banana Republic and much more. Wait till i strike toto 5 million then i come back for them lar. Hahah had dinner at the food court which sold tons and tons of beef. I had a tortilla wrap with beef filling and it was huge and cost about S$9. Soon after we visited the grocery stores for fresh fruits and ended our day in the hotel.
Next morning, we set off for Ballantyne Pier which marked the beginning of our 7 day cruise.
And we boarded this monster cruise named Celebrity infinity which ironically had no celebrity except for a small-time, narrow minded, retarded one from Singapore that is. Well at least he provided Colin and me a source of entertainment in the casino. Huat! Looks small but I can assure you looks can be deceiving and that's only middle class.
Aboard the cruise was pure luxury. We had free champagne and drinks served by the very professional staff on board after check-in and I have to say Singapore's F & B service is way behind.

"Welcome to Poseidon!" (Titanic would be too cliche)

We moved to our cabin for 2. Colin and me shared the twin-bed room which was pretty spacious given the fact that the cruise had to house 1900+ passengers excluding crew.

Our room attendant was rather cute, she would put candies on our pillows after cleaning up the room not that i ate them. hahah. The remaining of the day, we were cruising on the Inside Passage en route to Ketchikan - The world's salmon capital. We explored the cruise thoroughly and found out that it had Martini and jazz bars. There were at least 6 or more bars, most with dance floors and live bands. Although the music didnt really match our tastes, we did enjoy the drinks. Infinity has 12 decks and deck 11 was our spot for viewing the amazing scenery. Dinner at Trellis Restaurant was a delightful and different experience everyday. No need to talk about the service and taste of food. The view was different everyday and presentation of food unique in every sense of the word. Furthermore, the waiters were a bunch of nutty ones. Full of humour and wit. They entertained us every night.
Arriving at Ketchikan, we were full of adventure and trekked around the city for 2 hours, along the way there were multiple totem poles. Yes, the ones in Warcraft. Hahah but not exactly.

We managed to strike a conversation with this ultra friendly shop keeper who told us how he managed to travel the world and that he finally decided to settle down in Ketchikan. He has a freaking Masters degree and what really amazed me was that he didn't even bother to do business with us, we talked like old friends. It was fantastic. Rapids and streams were the other main attractions there. We returned to the cruise soon after and managed a gym session to ease away the guilt of eating these :

I'm adamant that everyone would agree that's a lot to work off, especially the steak.

Next up would be Hubbard Glacier, Alaska's longest ice face...

The following day, we sailed to Juneau, capital of Alaska with Mendenhall glacier at their backyard. We got there and it was real CCC - close, cold and crowded.

We also visited the smoked Salmon production lines and got to look first hand at how they prepared the Salmon after reeling them in from the fishing boats.

Day 7 of the trip. We came to Icy Strait Point where we boarded one of the sight-seeing vessels for the Point Adolphus area, one of Alaska's premier whale watching sites for Humpback and Orca Whales. We got to see many Humpbacks and sea lions. Cute, they are. And the woman beside us really had an orgasm when she saw them... Whoa, Wah, Yesssss... Sounds like one doesn't it?

That marked the end of our port visits as we headed back for Vancouver. I decided to huat at the casino but ended up losing 60 grand... Sorry to scare you... its US$60 not US$60,000. Blackjack just isn't my cup of kopi.

Our tour guide Dear old Frank picked us up at the pier and promptly drove towards the Rockies. Along the way, we went past and stopped at many attractions including : The Last Spike, Banff National park, Sulphur mountain, Lake Louise, Columbia Icefield and many more.

I'll let my pictures do the talking now because I'm feeling lazy... hahah Enjoy!

Drink from the source!

ERM...! No words to describe this priceless expression.
Looks like some old chinese kung fu show view...
I forgot to introduce my 2 new friends that i met during the journey, Pang Boon a.k.a muscle boy and Swee Lin both from Singapore. Thank you for letting me meet u all and make this already wonderful trip even more memorable. Thank you!
