"ache" by James Carrington

I am totally immersed

Home Sweet Home

A return from an overseas trip never felt this good in my life. My sense of elation was unbelievable upon reaching Singapore. As i alighted from the plane, it dawned on me that it was the last time I would chiong sua as a NSF. Strangely, i had mixed feelings abt it. I guess i would certainly miss the times where platoon 1 suffer and fool arnd together. Ex. Crescendo is tremendous, we had abt 4 exercises in total. Namely, Ex Deerhunter, Falcon, Eagle and Sapperstar (in ascending order of difficulty). Deerhunter was jalan jalan with my section. Falcon was tough owing to our incapabilty of launching and retrieving of the class30. Eagle was not as hard as others made out to be. And Sapperstar was not all that tough as initially expected. Lek restaurant and aunty JENNY with her "Hello, no. 23" rox my sox. Calamari and Tomyam were fabilicious. And best of all, i could actually play winning eleven 10 at Saiyok. Bought a bottle of Chivas that i intend to open on my b'dae/ORD. HAhah.

Had soccer in the morning with yukai gang and hornyteam. Caught up with Kenneth after abt 5mths? Time flies... Really.

Went out with lao chen in the evening for shopping and kino. Hahah walked like 100000km or smth, i have a huge blister on my toe. sigh. Although i didn't get any stuff, had fun talking with chinaman. (Hazelnut Latte from coffee bean deserves special mention)
I wish him a smooth sailing trip back to China...

I have many many pictures from Thailand and I'll post them on my blog soon. That is if i didn't squash my Kodak disposable camera. hahah. Ciao.

Things I'll miss in Singapore...

I'll be going Crescendo in a couple of hours, so i thought i would jus have a last post here. Had lunch in the afternoon courtesy of Delifrance. CAN you believe the curry chicken Feuilleté is only going at $1... unbelievable! had one of that plus a chicken sandwich delight. Played soccer at 3pm with zlatan, terrence, lao chen and Lam plus Lionel they all. It was a session to forget, i played the worst in like 10 yrs. I even yelled at lao chen out of impatience and frustration. Whew, i want to change that ugly side of my soccer, yet everytime i let my emotions take the better of me. I ought to seek Dr. Buddy Rydell (Jack Nicholson) for some anger management sessions. hahah.

Finally, I would miss the food in singapore, the pepper lunch, gelare waffles, crystal jade soup and much more. Obviously next on the list would be soccer then my family. Lastly, it would be the songs that i adore so much. Guess i should stop whining, hahah. Ciao.

Be back on 28 oct...

Smallville Season 6

You gotta catch the new Smallville season. It was awesome in my opinion, the effects have been jacked up a whole lot and the characters matured by milestones. Superb TV drama that will leave you wanting more.

Had soccer this morning with Weixin, Nathan, Xiang Hui and Lionel. Was rather eventful and I would really miss playing with them for 2 weeks. Can't believe Weixin mentioned the option of signing on for 6 mths. Hahah never in a million years. Maybe officers do have better treatment. But i guess he's really the capable soldier. Hahah

20 more mins till I'm on my way back to camp, gonna finish packing up for Crescendo.

Preparation for Crescendo

This week has been planned for us to complete the remaining training for Ex. Crescendo. It was pretty much relax and not as streneous as previous weeks of hardcore shiet. NavEx was like a stroll in the park thanks pretty much to my beloved and going-to-ord sect. com JiaLuoMi. He made the navigation look easy and our section jus had to tag along, with Teck Fatt. Lol. Heard Prasad's section did far worse and got caught in the rain also. Sigh I wonder how he would do as a PS for the next batch of Alpha Men.

We constructed an improvised covert on Thursday. A retarded one though. hahah had the whole coy to do it. Much of it was done by optic blasts. But the thought of having one platoon strength to do it in Crescendo sickens me. Hahah. I had a chat with CO and RSM plus the irritating "2-bar" gay that took us for the urine test and a couple of the "best soldiers of the month". It was pretty much lighthearted and CO is quite retarded lah, he kept making lame remarks. Made me nervous for nothing. Bleagh.

Booked Out day today was as usual into the late evening. The morning battlion run was RETARDED. LAO JAIK made us run another round and i sang like a raving madman. screaming the gay songs out. felt great though. PS2 did static shiet like there was no tml. zonked out in bunk the whole day afterwards until i booked out at 1730.

Caught the goals from the early 5 yrs of EPL. so many long shots and lobs. you sometimes wonder how they do it.

Looking forward to soccer on sunday with my brother, CHEONG. No words to describe this guy. Maybe eccentric and astounding would suffice. Hahah on second thoughts maybe not. Finally unravelled the mystery of Mr Novel. BWAHAHHA. gay shiet. Hope no more area cleaning bullshit after CRESCENDO.

This is Lifehouse's live performance of "take me away". Totally orgasmic. Enjoy

My Travelogue

October 1 2006. Started a blog so that i could write down my thoughts and safekeep them. To start of, would like to say that I jus got my class 3 license. Woohoo, after maybe more than 7 mths in the doldrums at SSDC, the slip of paper was a just reward for all the hard work i had devoted (27 Oct 06). Since then, I have driven twice with positive outcomes. Hopefully mum will give me the keys soon. Hahah.

You might wonder why i had Ernest Rutherford all over my title. He is a breakthrough physicist of his time. He received the nobel prize for investigations into the disintegration of elements and the chemistry of radioactive substances. He did this by being tenacious and open minded. He was devoted to his work and would go the extra mile to accomplish whatever he set out to do. And i would really like to be like him, to grow in girth and mentality everyday. Hence the title of my blog.

With appreciation from Bill Bryson for providing me his brief biography and quote. His book "A Short History of Nearly Everything" is a fabulous one which provides insight and knowledge into many fields of science. Recommended to all science geeks out there.

ORD soon fellow friends. 4mths and 1 week.
